Dear All

I know you've all probably seen or received information in the latest SEDA bulletin and e-circular letting you know about our "Christmas party" and Show and Tell evening so I'm sorry for more repetition. I thought I'd just chase a few of you up as this is proving to be a popular occasion for members to get together and find out what we are each doing in informal and convivial surroundings and - although places are still available on a 'first come, first served' basis - we have already had a lot of bookings so anyone who does want to come along should let me know as soon as they can! Our use of a different venue this year means that we need to be able to supply a reasonable indication of the numbers expected on the night - plus it helps me with getting in the right amount of food and drink for the occasion!!

If you'd like to give a presentation, prepare a short talk (approx. 5 mins) on any relevant subject - recent projects, new ideas, ecological initiatives, places, landscapes, other works - which inspire you, and allow a little time for feedback/ discussion. The talk can be illustrated with up to 3 slides, which should be sent in advance to Jenny Humphreys: jhumphreys@simpsonandbrown.co.uk with a note - giving your name and the title of your talk - so that she can prepare a computer-based slide show for the evening. Try to keep the file sizes down!

Slides should reach Jenny by Friday, 5th December.

This is an open evening; members, their friends, and anyone interested in ecological design is welcome to come along. Students are particularly welcome. You do have to be a SEDA member (or part of a company membership) to give a talk, but you do not have to be a member or give a talk to come along.

I would be very grateful if you could circulate this information to anyone else you think might be interested.

Przypominamy o Dniu Otwartych Drzwi, który odbędzie się w najbliższą sobotę 27.09 w Edynburgu. Aby zachęcić was do zwiedzania z aparatem w ręku ogłaszamy Ekspresowy Konkurs Fotograficzny.


Jest to świetna okazja na poznanie Edynburga.



Od dnia 27.09 do dnia 4.10 w portalowej galerii powstanie dodatkowa kategoria pt: "Dni Otwarte 2008".

Tam umieszczajcie swoje fotografie związane z budynkami zwiedzonymi podczas Dni Otwartych.

Każdy użytkownik ma prawo oddać głos na dowolną ilość zdjęć. Skala ocen od 1(min) do 5(max). Głos oddaje się w

komentarzach pod zdjęciami. Od wysokości ocen i ilości głosów i komentarzy będzie zależało kto zostanie zwycięzcą.



Dla autorów dwóch najlepiej ocenionych zdjęć mamy nagrody:

1 miejsce: genialna książka Denis Mina pt. Pole Krwi oraz designerska koszulka portalu.

2 miejsce: designerska koszulka portalu

Dodatkowo z najlepszych prac stworzymy INTERNETOWĄ WYSTAWĘ FOTOGRAFICZNĄ.
